1. The Food Pantry
In 2009, Deskan provided grocery boxes of food to almost
1,500 families.
Deskan also helped serve over 10,226 meals at homeless shelters in Atlanta.
2. Emergency Financial assistance
Designed to assist in preventing homelessness by extending a helping hand with utility assistance and transportation needs to

trying to make a change in their life.
3. Annual Community Holiday Giving
The Community Holiday Giving Program distributes toys, clothes, food, household goods and other items to over 400 families who may not be able to provide a meal or warm clothing for their families during the winter and Thanksgiving/Christmas Holidays.
4. Helping the Homeless
Homelessness is not a choice....
- Almost 40% of homeless in the US are under 18.
- 50% of youth aging out of foster care and the juvenile justice systems will be homeless within six months because they are unprepared to live independently, have limited education and no social support.
- Approximately 5,000 homeless youth die from assault, illness and suicide every year.
- 42% of homeless youth will be physically abused:
- 13% will be sexually assaulted.
- 57% of homeless kids don�t eat at least one day a month.
